Officials enter the graded system at Grade 3 as touch judges for Academy and League 1 games.
They can then progress to Grade 2 to become graded referees, officiating National Conference League and Scholarship games as well as touch judging in the Super League and Championship.
Grade 1 is the highest level beneath the Elite. These officials referee in the Championship, League 1 as well as Academy games.
