Pedal pumping

Pedal pumping is a form of foot fetish, focused on women and cars.[1] There are several sub-forms of this fetish.

Cranking: This scenario has a damsel in distress theme, where her car has become inoperable for some reason.[2][3] She then rapidly "pumps" the gas pedal in hopes that it will. After it does start, it may need "revving" to keep the engine running. This sub-form may also be labelled as "cranking".[2] Several times, the woman will remove her shoes in false hopes that if she pumps the gas pedal with her bare feet, that it might have a better chance of starting. Some women have done teases in order to get the men interested in the woman's figures. Some men have wished to be sitting on the woman's laps while the women crank.

Revving: In this scenario the women revs the engine by pressing the gas pedal repeatedly.

Stuck: In this scenario a vehicle's wheels are stuck in some type of natural adhesive (e.g., mud, sand, snow, etc.) and the helpless female sees the only solution is to aggressively and repeatedly floor the gas pedal in order to force the vehicle free.

Each of these scenarios show a kind of urgency or dependency, which arouses the viewer. The viewers are predominantly male and heterosexual, even more so than for the general fetish and pornography bias. It has been described as a "clean, monotonous niche"[2] and also identified with working-class men.[3]

It is more prevalent in men, and hence most of the cranking fetish material available involves women cranking cars. Older cars are often used but sometimes luxury cars are featured. This fetish is often related to pedal pumping, a type of foot fetishism characterized by an interest in looking at feet pumping the pedals.
