Pawar (surname)
Pawar (also spelled as Pavar[1] and Puar) is an Indian surname found among Koli, Maratha or Mahar castes in Maharashtra.[2][3][1] They claim descent from the Parmar clan of Rajput's.[4] In the north region of Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand, the surname also found among Rajput, Jatt and Gujjar caste's.[5] Pawar is also a clan among the Maratha & Chhetri clan of Nepal.
