Pannadi

Pannadi is a title used by Devendrakula Velalar community in the Kongunadu region in Tamilnadu.[1] The term "Pannadi" in Tamil literally means "Landlord", "Agriculturaist" and "Headman"[2].In Kongu Nadu region, the headman of Devendrakula Velalars were known as "Pattakkarar" and he is assisted by various subordinate officers and a caste messenger called "Odumpillai".
