Murtadha or Murtada (Arabic: مرتضى, romanized: Murtaḍā, lit. 'the One pleasing to God') or Murtaza, also spelled Mortaza or Morteza. The name is most commonly known as an epithet of Ali ibn Abi Talib, the son-in-law of Islamic prophet Muhammad.
Due to their rhyming nature, Murtadha is often confused with Mustafa which means "The Chosen One", an epithet of Muhammad.[3]
