Mike Amiri

Mike Amiri is an Iranian-American fashion designer. He began his career handcrafting stage pieces for iconic musicians. His rock ‘n’ rock aesthetic led him to design an exclusive capsule collection for the LA-concept store, Maxfield,[1] marking the launch of his eponymous luxury fashion line, AMIRI, in 2014.

With that debut collection, Amiri established a distinct design signature with his deconstructed, hand-embellished denim jeans, leather jackets, grungy flannel shirting and graphic tee-shirts. The designer's early DIY sensibility evolved into a studied and distinct savoir-faire, and today, his menswear and womenswear lines are revered for their refined sense of craftsmanship and recognized for embodying the glamorous ethos of LA's authentic streetwear culture.[2]

Amiri currently presents a collection bi-annually at Paris Fashion Week and the ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories are available from some of the most renowned retailers worldwide, such as Bergdorf Goodman in New York, Galeries Lafayette in Paris,[3] Selfridges in London and Joyce in Hong Kong.

In 2020, the opening of the L.A. flagship store on Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, set the tone for the brand’s most immersive experience, offering up an authentic translation of the Californian lifestyle and a relaxed expression of modern luxury. In 2021, AMIRI stores Las Vegas, New York, and Miami followed suit, with Asia locales to open in 2022.[4]

Since 2018, Mike Amiri has been a member of the CFDA,[5] when he was nominated for the Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent at the CFDA Fashion Awards. That same year, he was honored with the Emerging Talent Award at the Footwear News Achievement Awards. In 2019 and 2021, Mike Amiri was nominated for the Menswear Designer of the Year at the CFDA Fashion Awards.
