Mercury (Modern Visual Basic - programming language)

Mercury[1] (known as Modern Visual Basic)[1][2] is a programming language developed by RemObjects Software. Mercury is a revitalization of Microsoft Visual Basic.NET language which Microsoft ceased to enhance.[3] RemObjects extends VB.Net and adds more features to it.[4]

Mercury is a commercial product and offers full integration into Microsoft's Visual Studio IDE on Windows, as well as its own IDE called Water on Windows or Fire on macOS. Mercury is the sixth language supported by the underlying Elements Compiler toolchain, next to C#, Swift, Java, Go and Oxygene.
