Marpha brandy

Marpha brandy is a type of brandy produced in the village of Marpha, Mustang district, Nepal. It is made from a variety of fruits (pear, apricot, apple) produced on a farm managed by the Pasang Sherpa.

A similar brandy called Tukche Brandy is made from apples, cherry and also carrots in the nearby district of Tukche, in the villages of Nirjhar Man Sherchan and Mana Sherchan. In Marpha village, the Bishnu Hirachan distilleries are also noted local producers.
