Majengo, Nairobi

Majengo is a slum in Nairobi Kenya. It is less three kilometers from Nairobi CBD and next Gikomba market. Majengo makes part of Pumwani location and Pumwani/Shauri moyo Ward represented by Hon Paul Ndungu [Petit] in the Nairobi City County assembly;which is in the larger Kamukunji sub-county, one of the sub-counties of Nairobi city county. Majengo also host the headquarters for kamkunji constituency at the former District commissioner offices.key people from Majengo Evans Kidero first Governor of Nairobi City CountyMary Kavere, popularly known as Mama Kayai, is a veteran actor in Kenya. Majengo has 5 villages : Mashimoni, Sofia, Bash/Highrise, Kitui village, Digo and Katanga. The major roads cutting through the settlement are, Digo Road, Lumbwa street, Meru Road, Lamu Road and Munyema street.
