Maja e Vjelakut
Maja e Vjelakut (Albanian: Maja e Vjeljakut/Maja e Vjelakut/Maja Vjelakut/Majae Vjelakut/majën e Vjelakut; Serbian: Волујак, Volujak) is a peak of the Prokletije range in Kosovo,[a] reaching a top height of 2,014 m (6,608 ft). Volujak creates part of the Rugova Canyon. This mountain can be seen from the city of Peja because it is only a few kilometers west of it.[1]
Notes
a. | ^ The political status of Kosovo is disputed. Having unilaterally declared independence from Serbia in 2008, it is formally recognised as an independent state by 97 UN member states (with another 15 recognising it at some point but then withdrawing recognition), while Serbia continues to claim it as part of its own sovereign territory. |
