Dinesh MN

Dinesh MN is an Indian Police Service officer from Karnataka. Additional Director General of Police of Anti Corruption Bureau, Rajasthan.[1]

Early life

Dinesh MN was born on 6 September 1971 in Munaganahalli village,of Chintamani Tehsil in Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka. In the name of Dinesh MN, M means his village Munaganahalli and N means his father's name is Narayana Swamy. Dinesh MN holds BE degree in Electronics and communication and graduated from BDT Collage engineering Davanagere Karnataka in the year 1993. Dinesh MN became an Indian Police Service officer in 1995 and was allotted to Rajasthan cadre. [2]

Police career

Dinesh MN's service record when he was IG in Rajasthan ACB, Rajasthan ACB took a big action and arrested IAS officer Ashok Singhvi on charges of bribery of 2.5 crores. This is one of the biggest action in the history of Rajasthan. It was under the supervision of Dinesh MN that the Rajasthan Police had an encounter with gangster Anandpal Singh.

Under the leadership of Dinesh MN, the ACB took action against Baran District Collector IAS Inder Singh Rao and his private secretary in the bribery case. During the construction of Mumbai-Delhi Expressway, action was taken against Dalal Gopal Singh and then Superintendent of Police of Dausa Manish Agrawal in the bribery case. On 11 December 2020, ACB caught DSP Bhairunlal Meena taking a bribe of 80 thousand rupees. Action was taken against Alwar Rural's DSP Sapat Khan and constable Aslam Khan on charges of bribery. Action was taken against Dausa SDM Pushkar Kumar Mittal and Bandikui SDM Pinky Meena in the bribery case.

This matter was very popular. In February 2021, action was taken against Gudhamalani's SDM Sunil Kumar and his driver. In March 2021, action was taken against RAS officer Virendra Kumar and others and arrested them. In April 2021, two members of the Ajmer Revenue Board, RAS officers BL Mehrada and Sunil Kumar Sharma were arrested for taking bribe.[3]

In April 2007 Dinesh was arrested with others for alleged role in an encounter killing of a Lashkar-e-Taiba member.[4] In May 2007 Dinesh was suspended from the police force.[5]

On 1 August 2017 the Central Bureau of Investigation dropped charges against Dinesh in the cases of the Tulsiram Prajapati killing and the Death of Sohrabuddin Sheikh.[6] Dinesh had been in jail for 7 years.[7]

In 2015 Dinesh busted a major bribery operation.[8][7]

His hobbies include lawn tennis, reading, and yoga.[3]

Gangster Anand Pal Singh's encounter

Dinesh MN lead team found gangster Anand Pal Singh and encountered him. IPS Dinesh is also famous for doing such work which was impossible for the police of five states. He encountered one of the biggest gangsters of Rajasthan in Malasar, Churu. [9]Dinesh M.N. Supervised the operation from Jaipur and the gun battle of SOG Team with the gangster led to his death . Gangster Anand Pal was traced under the supervision of IPS Dinesh MN when he escaped from custody.[10]

He was being searched for two years until the police came to know that he was hiding in Churu, Rajasthan. His two brothers with criminal antecedents were arrested in Sirsa , who revealed his location to SOG Team .[11]
