History

The airline established as Ladeco in November 1, 1958. Ladeco was acquired by LAN Chile in August 1995. After Ladeco merged with Fast Air Carrier in October 1998, it was rebranded as a new affiliate named LAN Express.[2] The brand was merged back into LAN Airlines in 2005.
The airline was renamed LATAM Express as a result of the LAN and TAM Airlines merger in May 5, 2016. The airline faced a long-lasting strike that cancelled most of its flights in April 2018.
