Kuok Group
The Kuok Group refers to a private conglomerate of companies either fully or partially owned or controlled by Robert Kuok and his family. The Group's founding can be traced back to 1949, with the foundation of the Group's first company, Kuok Brothers Sendirian Berhad.[1][2] Since then, the Group has diversified into a wide range of businesses, but is perhaps best known for the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.

Leadership
The Kuok Group has been led by Robert Kuok since 1949. While Kuok officially retired in 1992 and relinquished executive control of most subsidiaries under the Kuok Group, he continues to lead the Group.[3]
