Kent Waldrep
Kent Waldrep (March 2, 1954 - February 27, 2022) was an American football player and disability rights activist. He was a running back for Texas Christian University. On October 26, 1974, during a game against the University of Alabama, Waldrep was paralyzed by a tackle. In the following years, he become an advocate for spinal cord research and pushed for the enactment of the Americans With Disabilities Act.[1][2]
