Jessica Hanson is an American politician serving as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from the 56A district. Elected in November 2020, she assumed office on January 5, 2021.

Early life and education
Hanson was born and raised in Minnesota.[1] She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of Northwestern – St. Paul, a Bachelor of Science in social work from St. Catherine University and a Master of Arts in advocacy and political leadership from Metropolitan State University.[2]
Career
Hanson has worked as a dental network representative for Anthem since 2007. She was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in November 2020 and assumed office on January 5, 2021, succeeding Hunter Cantrell.[3]
Political career
Jessica Hanson was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives, representing District 56A in 2020 with 13,166 votes (Pam Myhra 12,316 votes and 28 other write in votes).[4]
Jess’s committee assignments for 2021-2022 are: Agriculture Finance & Policy; Higher Education Finance & Policy; Human Services Finance & Policy; Behavioral Health Policy Division.[5]
