Jennifer Ahern

Jennifer Ahern (born 1978) is an American epidemiologist. She is currently Chancellor's Professor of Public Health and Associate Dean for Research at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health.[1] Her research focuses on the effects of social and environmental factors including violence, substance abuse, mental health, and neighborhood characteristics on population health.[2]

Ahern earned a Bachelor of Arts in human biology from Brown University in 1997. She completed her Master of Public Health and doctoral degree in epidemiology at the University of California, Berkeley in 2000 and 2007, respectively.[3]

She is currently President of the executive committee of the Society for Epidemiologic Research.[4] In 2022, she was named a Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Investigator.[5]
