James Beaumont

James Beaumont (born 11 November 1984) is an English former professional footballer who played in midfield. Beaumont joined Nottingham Forest from Newcastle United in 2003.

Former England youth cricketer , playing in the 2000 World Cup alongside future England captain Alastair Cook and Ashes winner Tim Bresnan , he graduated with First Class honours in sports media and journalism whilst at the City Ground in a PFA degree.

Beaumont joined Nike.inc working for Umbro International following his exit from Nottingham Forest, working in global sports marketing with the likes of Manchester City, the FA, the England national team, Right to Dream, Everton Football Club and some of the biggest names in world football, making him the figure head of the brand.

  After five years with Nike.inc , James joined the Iconix Brand Group in New York as Global Sports Marketing Manager, working deeper in to the sports business industry for Umbro International. He then joined Aston Villa in 2014 , spending five years in European and domestic scouting and recruitment, helping the club return to the Premier League. 


  In 2019 James joined General Sports Worldwide in a business advisory role across the global football business. 2022 Beaumont moved sectors ,within finance, joining All Sports Finance with SportsFi, working worldwide in the sports finance world. 
  Alongside various business advisory roles and work in the sports business sector, James spent five years as a club professional in the NYSD Premier League for Stokesley CC after leaving the professional football scene, as well as mountaineering ventures summiting Mont Blanc and Kilimanjaro for various charities.

After football

Beaumont graduated from Staffordshire University with a degree in Professional Sports Writing and Broadcasting in the summer of 2008.
