Hridyaram Mahashye

Hridyaram Mahashey (7 April 1925) was an Indian revolutionary from Bijnor, who participated in the India Freedom Movement.

Early life

Hridyaram Mahashey was born in 7 April 1925 at Bijnor. Amir Singh was his uncle who is also a notable freedom fighter and join Subhash Chandra Bose's Indian National Army as a Soldier.

Revolutionary movement

Singh's involvement in the Indian nationalist movement began with the Freedom of India . Although he motivated his schoolmates to join the movement.As a teenager, he participated in the Quit India Movement along with his villagers.Being a soldier of the Indian National Army (Subhash Chandra Bose'Fauz) of his uncle Amir Singh made a big impact on his mind.

Post-1947 period

After the Indian 'independence' in 1947, Singh join the Job in Glass Manufacturing Company Shri Ganga Glass. He started social work for social reform. He had a very close relationship with the glass factory owner, with the help of the factory owner, he built the Ganga Ghat at Balawali, Bijnor for the devotees to take a bath in the holy river Ganges. After the death of the owner of the Ganga Glass factory in the 1980s, his son closed the factory forever. Thousands of laborers became unemployed in a single day.He joined the Bharatiya Kisan Union for the upliftment of the farmers and staged dharna several times to fulfill the interests of the farmers and their demands.[1]
