Hamelin (crater)

Hamelin is an impact crater in the Oxia Palus quadrangle of Mars. It was named by the IAU in 1976 after Hamelin, a town in Lower Saxony, Germany.[1]

The crater Kin is west of Hamelin. Kin and Hamelin lie within the Tiu Valles. The landing site of the Mars Pathfinder lander and Sojourner rover is due south of Kin, where Ares Vallis meets Tiu Valles.
