Gizelle Bryant
Gizelle Bryant (born September 9, 1970) is an American socialite and reality television personality who has appeared on the reality TV series, The Real Housewives of Potomac, since 2016 and was the First Lady of Empowerment Temple AME.

Early life and education
Bryant was born on the 9th of September, 1970, in Houston, Texas,[1] to former politician and civil rights activist Curtis Graves and Joanne Graves.[2] She graduated from Hampton University in 1992 with a degree in marketing.
Career
Bryant starred as the main in the first season of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Potomac, which premiered on January 17, 2016.[3] Since then, she has been the leading cast member of the show for all six seasons. The sixth season of The Real Housewives of Potomac premiered on July 11, 2022.[4]
In 2017, Bryant launched her beauty brand, EveryHue Beauty.[5] However, the manufacturing of products was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, as of January 2022, Bryant announced that EveryHue Beauty has stopped selling products.[6]
In November 2021, Bryant teamed up with Robyn Dixon in Reasonably Shady, the podcast featuring stories from their lives and how they dealt with them. In 2022, the podcast was nominated for the Outstanding Arts and Entertainment Podcast at the 53rd NAACP Image Awards.[7][8]
Personal life
Bryant moved to Baltimore after graduating from the University.[9] She married megachurch pastor activist Jamal Harrison Bryant in 2002, and they have 3 daughters.[10] They met when they were working together on civil rights and social justice at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People's national headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland.[11]
In 2008, Gizelle filed for divorce accusing Jamal of adultery,[12] they divorced later in 2009.[13][14][15] Bryant is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.[16][17]

Published works
Bryant turned her sights on writing a fiction book that chronicles her life as the First Lady of a megachurch.[18] She published her book My Word in April 2019, for which she won an African-American Literary Award for Best Fiction.[2][19]
