Etelka A. Leadlay

Etelka Anne Leadlay B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.(born 1947), is a botanist.[1]

Born in Lambeth on 16 September 1947, she attended St Mary's School, Calne, Wiltshire.[2] Later she studied Plant taxonomy at the University of Reading,[3] and was elected a Fellow of the Linnean Society in 1978.[4]

She worked for over 20 years for Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI),[5][6] based on Kew Green, as Head of Research and Membership Services, until she retired in 2007.[7]

Etelka married John F Davey in 1978 and had a daughter Seraphina Elizabeth (born 1983).
