Eilidh (Scottish Gaelic pronunciation: [ˈAy-lee]) is a Scottish Gaelic feminine given name originating from the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. It is widely misrepresented as being the Gaelic translation of 'Helen'as both names share the meaning 'Light' and so thus became associated with one and other.
