Doctors For the NHS

[1] The NHS Consultants Association was formed in 1976 by medical consultants with a strong commitment to the NHS and its founding principles. It changed its name to Doctors For the NHS in 2014.[2]

Current Chair is Colin Hutchinson. In 2005 the Association initiated the campaign Keep Our NHS Public.[3]

It was active in the campaign against the Health and Social Care Act 2012.[4] and strives to maintain the founding principles of the NHS as an institution for service not profit. Membership is open to all doctors who share these views.
