Demelash Gebremichael
Demelash Gebremichael is the commissioner general of the Federal Police Commission, he was appointed to the rank by the Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed since November 8, 2020. Before he became the (CG) commissioner general of the federal police, he was the Director General of the National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) from June 28, 2019 to November 8, 2020.[1][2] And after Abiy Ahmed made Demelash Gebremichael General Commissioner of the Federal Police Commission he also made Temesgn Tiruneh the Director of the NISS.[3] Gebremichael was a close friend to prime minister Abiy Ahmed, before he served as the director general of The National Intelligence Security Service he was the Deputy Chief of NISS. His boss was killed in a assassination as the Director of NISS.[4] The assassination of General Seare, the former Head of the Military was on June 22, 2019 with his friend Gezai Abera (a former Brigade General), a retired Defense Force. Prime Minister Abiy appointed Demelash Gebremichael to take over Adem's former position at the National Intelligence & Security Service and appointed Mola Hailemariam (Lut. Gen) as chief of ground forces member, a few days later after the assassination of other General Seare, the NISS director (Adem) was appointed Chief of Staff of the armed forces and Demelash become the director of the National Intelligence and Security Service.[5]
