Construction
In the UK, construction workers are recommended to wear a coloured hard hat (safety helmet) to aid in quick identification, as follows:[1]
- Black: Supervisors
- Orange: Slinger (Banksman) / Signaller
- White: Site Manager / Competent Operative / Vehicle Marshall (who would typically also wear a different hi-visibility vest)
- Blue: Inexperienced Person / Visitor / Apprentice / Architect / Other
- Green: First Aider
- Red: Fire Marshall
