Caille Island

Caille Island is a small islet between Grenada and Carriacou (Grenadines).

Caille Island is just 5 Km from Kick 'em Jenny and is considered one of the youngest islands in the Lesser Antilles.[1] Minimal archaeological survey have found Amerindian pottery in volcanic rock, corroborating the young age.[2] It appears to have been uninhabited during most of the historic period, but in the late 19th/early 20th century, Caille functioned as a whaling station.[3]

Also called Isle de Caille or Ile de Caille, as derived from the French, Île des Cailles (“Island of Quails").[3]
