"Brilliant Mind" is a song by British band Furniture, from their second album The Wrong People. It was released as a single in 1986, and reached No. 21 on the UK Singles Chart in July of that year,[1] and remains as the band's only hit song to chart.

The song was featured in the John Hughes film Some Kind of Wonderful.
Critical reception
On its release, Paul Massey of the Aberdeen Evening Express stated, "Excellent track from a promising London five-piece that twists, turns and grabs your attention: Jim Irvin's vocals are a treat. Hear it."[2]
