BakuCard
BakıKART (Azerbaijani: "BakıKART") is a new electronic single payment card designed to meet the demands of passengers following international standards applied in public transport of Baku, Azerbaijan from August 2015.[1][2] Baku Metro, BakuBus lines operate under BakıKART system in the initial phase.[3]

History
Baku Metro accepted tokens as a payment for a metro ride up until March 1, 2006. In 2007 fares for subway rides were realized only through RFID cards named “Metro Card”.[1][4] Metro Card was only available to pay for Baku Metro and cost 2 AZN. Metro Card was replaced with BakıKART on August 8, 2015. During this period balance and initial value of Metro Card could be transferred into BakıKART.[2]
