Alley of Angels
The Alley of Angels in Donetsk, Ukraine is a memorial for children of Donbas killed during the War in Donbas. At the entrance there is an arch made of forged roses interwoven with machine gun ammunition casings, a symbol of war, and doves, a symbol of peace. Under the arch there is a granite slab with the names and ages of the killed children.

A plaque with the inscription "Alley of Angels" was installed on May 5, 2015, and memorial was unveiled on May 5, 2015. The arch and the name plaque were installed in August 2015.[1] In 2018 the UNICEF Ukraine reported on Twitter that over 140 children were killed or injured by mines during the war.[2]
On June 1, 2017 a monument to children of Donbas was installed by the Alley. It was created by Russian sculptor Denis Seleznev.[3] The model for the monument was Kirill Sidoryuk (September 29, 2001 – August 29, 2014),[4] who was killed while protecting his sister from shelling with his body.[5]
