ARAM Periodical

ARAM Periodical was an annual peer-reviewed academic journal published by Peeters Publishers on behalf of the ARAM Society for Syro-Mesopotamian Studies. Specializing in Ancient Near East studies with a particular focus on Aramaic studies,[1] it was published annually by Peeters.[2] Papers in the journal covered archaeology, religious studies, philology, and other related topics.

History

The ARAM Society for Syro-Mesopotamian Studies was founded at the University of Oxford on 24 January 1987.[3] The society published the first volume of its periodical in 1989.[4] The last issue was published in 2011.[2] Originally published biannually, it switched to annual publication in 2000.[2]
